Software development company Naviworks has won a contract for the ‘Tax Square’ (local tax service) project of Seoul Metropolitan Government’s public metaverse (3D virtual world) platform ‘Metaverse Seoul’.

According to the IT (information technology) industry on the 17th, Metaverse Seoul is a metaverse platform that provides various services such as taxation and administration. Seoul Metropolitan Government launched the first phase of Metaverse Seoul service at 1:00 PM on the 16th.

Accordingly, when visiting Tax Square in Metaverse Seoul, you can receive tax consultation through a chatbot linked to Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Internet Tax Payment System (ETAX) and calculate the automobile tax, property tax, and acquisition tax to be paid in advance.

Naviworks won the contract for Seoul Metropolitan Government’s ‘Metaverse Seoul Phase 1 Construction Service’ in July of last year and has been promoting the Tax Square advancement work.

Specifically, Naviworks is building the following functions in the metaverse: △AI tax consulting function linked to the ETAX chatbot, △tax calculation simulation function, △tax income inquiry and payment function.

A Naviworks official explained, “We expect a virtuous cycle of increased trust in Seoul city administration and enhanced welfare benefits for Seoul citizens by providing convenient citizen tax administration services.”
