The Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA, CEO Hyunwoo Kim), a small business support agency that leads the way in supporting the growth of small and medium-sized businesses in the XR field and activating the XR industry in Seoul, announced that it will hold the 2nd '2023 DMC XR Business Forum' at 2 PM on the 26th at the Seoul XR Demonstration Center located in DMC, Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The '2023 DMC XR Business Forum', which has been held annually since 2022, is a business platform that connects XR companies and companies in various industries by sharing cases and know-how of XR technology utilization applied to various industrial fields, with the Seoul XR Demonstration Center in the DMC complex as the main axis.

At the 1st forum held on the 28th of last month under the theme of 'Convergence of Education and XR Technology', about 30 representatives from education and XR companies attended and had the opportunity to communicate and cooperate by sharing cases and know-how of convergence between education and the XR industry.

This second forum will be held under the theme of ‘New Wave of Human-Centered Defense XR’, and will invite Executive Director Bonhong Koo of Naviworks as a speaker to discuss XR technology application cases in the defense sector and the know-how required for XR technology convergence.

Naviworks is a virtual augmented reality and smart control service company for the defense and public sectors, and was awarded the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in 2022. Recently, it has been expanding its scope to enable the use of various services such as urban metaverse. If the first forum dealt with the convergence and direction of XR in the education sector, the second forum will be a place to hear about XR application cases in the defense industry and the future prospects of the XR industry from current defense experts, and discuss the direction with the attendees.

Lee Jae-hoon, head of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency's Industrial Hub Headquarters, said, "If the first forum was a place where we could confirm the interest and demand for XR technology in various industries, we will create an active networking space between each industry and the XR industry through the five forums to be held in the future." Meanwhile, the '2023 DMC XR Business Forum' is scheduled to be held regularly every month until November with the goal of spreading XR technology and industry.
