“Introducing a tactical training system created together by humans and artificial intelligence (AI)”
[News Today = Reporter Kim Han-kyung] Naviworks, a comprehensive tactical training simulator and AI intelligent control specialist, announced on the 4th that it will participate in the Polish MSPO 2023 exhibition held in Kielce, Poland for four days from the 5th to the 8th.
Naviworks is a leading simulation company in Korea that has been supplying the military with a realistic training system based on VR/MR/XR based on the core software platform of the future synthetic training environment through continuous investment in virtual reality technology for the past 23 years.
Through this participation in the Polish MSPO exhibition, it will introduce a simulator that can be applied to Korean weapon systems being introduced as part of Poland's military modernization plan (Technical Modernization Program), and in particular, it plans to present a true plan to improve the defense capabilities of the Polish military by introducing the tactical training system, which is Naviworks' greatest strength.
The three products that Naviworks exhibited at this exhibition are aviation tactical training simulation, ground equipment training simulation, and intelligent fire control simulation. All of these can be experienced and operated with VR equipment at the exhibition site or AI experience through a software platform.
The Aviation Tactical Training Simulation is economical because it allows training of multiple aircraft types (AH-1S, BO 105, CH47, UH-60, UH 1H, 500MD in the case of Army Aviation) through software and hardware changes in one simulator, and has the advantage of allowing “tactical training” through linkage between simulators.
Ground equipment training simulation allows training in equipment operation and reconnaissance of contaminated areas and chemicals through a simulator. After providing situational allocations of animals’ bodies, nerves, and biology, and configuring training situations such as armored vehicle locations, time, and weather, actual reconnaissance training is conducted by identifying direction, location, and type through chemical, biological, and radiological reconnaissance equipment, and a training report is sent to the instructor for recording and analysis of results.
Intelligent fire control simulation was developed to resolve uncertainty about the results of firing by predicting the shape of the shells that will fall on the target area before firing during artillery firepower operation, thereby determining the optimal firing method according to the target size and shape, thereby achieving firing effects. It can increase combat power without increasing the number of artillery weapon systems.
A Naviworks official said, “Tactical training is possible through linkage between systems in the land, sea, and air sectors, and as the era of manned and unmanned combined training arrives, the future training system that strengthens artificial intelligence for each product and efficiently creates a training system between people and AI will allow the virtual training technology capabilities of the Republic of Korea to contribute to the development of the Polish military’s M&S and intelligent control sectors.”
