Small and medium-sized defense company Naviworks is receiving attention from locals by participating in the International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2023) held in Kielce, Poland from the 5th to the 8th.

Naviworks has been developing a core software platform for the future synthetic training environment through continuous virtual reality technology for the past 23 years. Based on this technology, the company is supplying a realistic training system based on VR/MR/XR to the military.

Poland is establishing a military modernization plan (Technical Modernization Program) and is showing interest in simulators that can be applied to Korean weapon systems. The three products Naviworks presented at the exhibition are aviation tactical training simulation, ground equipment training simulation, and intelligent fire control simulation. Locals can experience operating weapon systems with VR equipment or experience AI through a software platform. In particular, it has gained popularity by suggesting ways to improve the defense capabilities of the Polish military through a tactical training system.

Naviworks's aviation tactical training simulation is economical because it can train various types of aircraft (for Army Aviation, AH-1S, BO 105, CH47, UH-60, UH 1H, 500MD). In particular, since it is possible to link simulators, tactical training can also be conducted. Through ground equipment training simulation, not only equipment operation but also reconnaissance training in chemically contaminated areas is possible. This is a method of conducting actual reconnaissance training by setting training situations such as armored vehicle location, time, and weather and identifying direction, location, and type through chemical, biological, and radiological reconnaissance equipment. After training is completed, all training contents are recorded and can be analyzed.

Intelligent fire control simulation can predict the shape of shells that will fall on the target area before firing during artillery firepower operation. It can increase combat power without increasing the number of artillery weapon systems while reducing the failure rate.

A Naviworks official said, “We can conduct tactical training by connecting the land, sea, and air domains, and we can also configure a future training system by strengthening artificial intelligence for each product,” adding, “We will also contribute to the development of the Polish military’s M&S and intelligent control fields.”
