Naviworks, a virtual training platform development company, announced on the 21st that it will participate in the world's largest military simulation and equipment exhibition, 'I/ITSEC 2023', held in Orlando, USA from the 27th to December 1st.
Hosted by the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), 'I/ITSEC' (The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference) is attended by approximately 500 specialized companies from around the world to exchange the latest simulation technology trends and market information.
In Korea, Naviworks, which has been recognized for its technological prowess, will participate and promote the excellence of its K-Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T, Manned-UnManned Teaming) integrated control and simulation software. MUM-T refers to the future battlefield environment where manned and unmanned systems cooperate with each other.
At this exhibition, Naviworks will introduce the ‘VTB-X (Virtual Training Block–eXercise)’, a virtual training software platform optimized for the core elements of the synthetic training environment (STE), the integrated earth environment implementation (OWT), the training management tool (TMT), and the training simulation software (TSS), and the digital control platform ‘MetaIEyes’.
Among them, ‘VTB-X’ provides virtual training optimized for future battlefield situations and has received favorable reviews from users by implementing various elements required in the existing market.
The core functions include ▲AI/big data, digital twin, 2D/3D ▲systems for each type of military (Army/Navy/Air Force/Marine Corps) training ▲automated scenario authoring tools and training evaluation (LMS) ▲creation of training environments linked to live and constructive exercises, etc.
Naviworks is accumulating capabilities in OWT with cloud access, TSS, a battalion-level planning and tactical SW, and TMT, a training management tool for training planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation, while simultaneously analyzing and researching advanced STE trends to develop these functions.
Advanced STE focuses on immersive and semi-immersive functions to support multi-domain and joint operations by combining various new technologies as well as virtual reality (VR) and AI, with the goal of highly realistic hybrid training.
At this year’s ‘I/ITSEC,’ various cutting-edge technologies such as simulation modeling, software, hardware, LMS, and infrastructure (cloud, network, and security) that reflect advanced STE will be unveiled.
A Naviworks official said, “This year’s ‘I/ITSEC’ is expected to be a fiercer venue for technology competition than ever before, and we are proud to be able to work with global companies,” adding, “Through this exhibition, we plan to meet customers from all over the world in person to promote our technology, expand the market, and enhance our brand image.”
